The Ultimate Babysitter
One good thing about having a baby and a twelve year-old is the enthusiastic babysitting. So far, Annaleigh is always quick to lend a hand. This evening found me doing my never-ending laundry and trying to make a grocery list. Jack was screaming in his bed. Finally, I let Sis go get him, and she held him while watching a movie. And, as you can see, Clara knows a good thing when she sees it.
Thanks, Sis!

De-junking
I read an article in the newspaper a few days ago where a man who lives in San Francisco pared down his belongings to 100 total things (not including food). While that was a bit radical for a family of five, tonight I challenged everyone (minus Jack, of course) to go through their stuff and purge away. We set a timer for one hour and made it sort of a competition. This was the pile towards the end of the hour. Wow...we may have to do this every several months or so!

The Crib
I finally got around last week to ordering Jack's crib bedding. We decided that the original set that I picked out was too girly, so it took us a while to find one that matched the color scheme that we were going for. I'm really happy with this one.
Jack is not sleeping in his crib yet. He's still in our room in his pack-n-play bassinet. And of course Jack is not asleep in this photo because Jack does not sleep during the day unless someone is holding him. I may try him in the crib for naps since it's darker on this side of the house than my room. It would be really, really nice if he'd take a nap once in while during the day....

Chocolate Craving
I had a hankerin' for something chocolate, but there was nothing in the house...not even some chocolate chips. So I did what any chocolate-craving girl would do: I whipped up some homemade brownies. The sprinkles were Annaleigh's idea.

Tuesday Car-Schooling
Almost every Tuesday, while Annaleigh attends her science class at tutorial, Harrison and I (and Jack too, of course) wait in the car for her. Seeing Harrison dutifully working on his spelling assignment is a grand sight indeed...especially after the DAY we had yesterday...ugh! This is totally off-subject, but would you look at that boy's eyelashes?!?

Ahhhhh...what can I say?
Coffee, it's my life nectar.

Yay!! Our computer tech friend is going to try to fix our crashed computer and hopefully retrieve our files. I'm especially hopeful that our pictures weren't lost. The hard drive is just sitting by the door, waiting for pick up.

Me and Jack and our new Ergo carrier with infant insert. Jack loves it...and so do I! I think I just got my life back.

Thank goodness that he will sleep in his carseat! Sometimes I will leave him in it for a bit when we get home from running around. He'll sometimes continue to sleep in it for quite a while. And isn't it funny what he's doing with his hands?!

It's a Boston eat Boston world, I guess. Harrison got this little toy in his Happy Meal, which is promoting the movie Hotel for Dogs, and gave it to Clara, and she loves it. (Bridget always loved those little toys too.)
